Good deck, but mistakes plague me.

  Pack 1 pick 1:

  My Pick:

This pack seems underwhelming.  For me, it was between the Pridemage and the Squire.  I think the Squire is just better, and it also leaves me more open.  Not a great open, but solid.

  Pack 1 pick 2:

  My Pick:

As bad as the last pack was, this pack was crazy good. Like Jack Nicholson in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and pre-sellout, coked up Robin Williams had a baby crazy good.  I could commit to W/x beatdown with Signaled Paladin, I could go with another Squire.  I could leave Squire shivering in the cold with Necro-I'm a limited bomb-genesis.  I could go Naya with Branching Bolt.  I could go with the Tri-land, and see where it takes me.  But I went with Tezzeret, as he seems to be the guy with the most upside.  If I draft the crazy Esper deck, he has a chance to be an all-star.  Let me know what you think in the comments.

  Pack 1 pick 3:

  My Pick:

Yeah.  I don't know if I made the right pick.  I think Puppet Conjurer is better than Metalurgeon.  Magma spray is always good.  But I've gone all in on Esper.

  Pack 1 pick 4:

  My Pick:

I wanted the second Conjurer, but the Capsule just seems better.  And the conjurer may wheel with the way this draft is starting to look.

  Pack 1 pick 5:

  My Pick:

See what I mean.

  Pack 1 pick 6:

  My Pick:

Wave seems good.  Better than cancel or Guardians.

  Pack 1 pick 7:

  My Pick:

Hmmmm.  Seems like we have a big, fatty, bouncy win condition.

  Pack 1 pick 8:

  My Pick:

The fixing seems good.  Glaze fiend may have worked better if I picked the second conjurer.  I like Windwright Mage, but the fixing seems better.

  Pack 1 pick 9:

  My Pick:

  Pack 1 pick 10:

  My Pick:

I figured as between the drake and the mana accelerant was better.  I can get cheaper 3/x fliers elsewhere, but the accelerator I can't.  This may have been a mistake.  Let me know.

  Pack 2 pick 1:

  My Pick:

Child of Alara is splashy, but guess what gets rid of it?  That's right! Path.  Also a good chance to wheel Gargoyle, humunculs (although with Conjurer, that's a non-bo), or alchameist.

  Pack 2 pick 2:

  My Pick:

I was between Sphere, which Jon probably rightly states that I like too much, Drag down or the Strider.  The strider with Conjurer seems good.  I'm also hoping for an Esperzoa later.

  Pack 2 pick 3:

  My Pick:

Outlander, Vis or Scepter.  The Scepter seems to be the best and ensures that my late game draws will be better.  Although I would never know.  I never drew it.

  Pack 2 pick 4:

  My Pick:

I kind of wavered over this one.  The Stix is awesome with an Esperzoa and is great so long as you have the black to turn it on.  At this point, I don't.  So I went with the Cormorant.

  Pack 2 pick 5:

  My Pick:

I was between the Gargoyle and the Instinct, which is cheap, if situational, removal.  (Remember the Homunculus is a non-bo).  I went with the removal, again at Jon's suggestion.

  Pack 2 pick 6:

  My Pick:

I agonized over this one.  I wanted the big guy with shroud.  But I already have a top of the curve beater that bounces.  And the mechanist is just going to be cast more often.

  Pack 2 pick 7:

  My Pick:

Wow.  Two Mechanists seems good.

  Pack 2 pick 8:

  My Pick:

Yeah.  This makes the Inkwell pick awkward-ish.

  Pack 2 pick 9:

  My Pick:

I think this was a mistake.  I just want to make it to later in the game.  The alchemist helps me get there.  The Gargoyle is more aggro.  I think the Alchemist is more where I want to be.  Let me know below.

  Pack 2 pick 10:

  Pack 2 pick 11:

  My Pick:

Card draw seems good.

  Pack 3 pick 1:

  My Pick:

Okay.  I'm ashamed here, but this is a straight up rare draft.  Maelstrom Pulse is a good card that's worth some tixs.  So yeah, I'm a loser, but economics is economics.

  Pack 3 pick 2:

  My Pick:

Tastes bomby.

  Pack 3 pick 3:

  My Pick:

I think this was wrong.  Zealous Persecution seems more aggro.  But Wall of Denial is basically a "you're best guy doesn't attack" card.  I'm starting to see what Jon means by I don't know what I want to do.

  Pack 3 pick 4:

  My Pick:

I don't know if this is right.  I figure that the blade will be a flyer 80% of the time, so I think it's right.  But Glassdust Hulk can be crazy with Conjurer.  While both are situationally good, I think the Blade is better more often.

  Pack 3 pick 5:

  My Pick:

I made a mistake here.  I figured the Knight would be good early ground defense.  I should have taken the Esper blade.  I'm stupid.

  Pack 3 pick 6:

  My Pick:

Thopter Foundry is really good when you are dedicated Esper.  Maybe I should have taken the second Knight, but Thopter was really good.

  Pack 3 pick 7:

  My Pick:

Shieldmage is such a good trick, and often a one for none or better.

  Pack 3 pick 8:

  My Pick:

This was wrong.  Threasher was the pick.  I just love the Soul Manipulation two for one.

  Pack 3 pick 9:

  My Pick:

Yeah.  I like this card too much.

  Pack 3 pick 10:

  My Pick:

I went with fixing over the Demon.  It can just be too limiting.

  Pack 3 pick 11:

  My Pick:

Wow.  That should not wheel.  I'm happy to take it.

I'd like to say that I won the draft.  I did not.  I lost my first game by playing Tezzeret before I could really protect him.  The second game, I had a good draw of Squire, into Knight, into blade, into 5th turn Nemesis.  The last game, I can't remember how I messed it up.  I think it was keeping a sketchy hand with Nemesis in it, with three lands and white cards that I couldn't cast.  I didn't draw a land for five turns.  Nonetheless, if I wouldn't have keep a hand that had white cards that I couldn't cast early, I would have actually had a chance.

Tell me what I did wrong below, and thanks for your time.
